Academic Excellence Scholarships


The scholarship is awarded to top 3 position holders in their respective batch, as per following:

Terms & Conditions

  • The students who do not register for full/regular* semester load or avail freezing of a semester will not be eligible to compete for the award.
  • The students securing SGPA below 3.5/4.0 will also not be considered for the award.
  • The scholarship for academic excellence will be paid at the same rate to the foreign and local students.
  • In case two or more students are tied on SGPA, then the total marks of both the students will be calculated and positions will be awarded according to marks. If marks are also the same, then the scholarship will be awarded on the basis of CGPA. In case of the first semester, where CGPA is not available, the scholarship will be awarded on the basis of aggregate admission merit.
  • If a student is not eligible for the award of scholarship on the basis of less work load, then the slot will be allocated to the next eligible student based on the above criteria.
  • Students shall be awarded a merit certificate.
  • Regular Semester means the number of courses offered by the department for a particular semester.

Kinship/Siblings Pecuniary


When two or more siblings are concurrently undergraduate students of CUI, the siblings will be financially supported. A financial support of up to Rs. 16,000/- per semester will be provided to all the siblings provided the parents cannot afford to pay the fee and the students show good academic performance.

Admission Scholarship Scheme for BS(Psychology)-Spring-2025 Session


The scheme is offered to BS(Psychology) students.

Scholarship Eligibility & Merit Criteria

  1. Eligibility and Merit Criteria for Semester 1st

    Upon completion of the admission process, students will be granted scholarship as per following criteria:

    • 100% tuition fee waiver if their FSc marks are equal to or exceed 75.
    • 50% tuition fee waiver if their FSc marks are equal to or exceed 65 but less than 75.

  2. Eligibility and Merit Criteria for Semesters 2nd to 8th

    Scholarship for subsequent semesters from 2nd to 8th will be granted based on the following criteria:

    • 100% tuition fee waiver for achieving a CGPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher in the previous semester.
    • 50% tuition fee waiver for achieving a CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in the preceding semester.

  3. Duration & Conditions

    • The above scholarship scheme is applicable for students of Spring 2025 intake only, and will be applicable for eight semesters.
    • Freezing or withdrawal of semester will result in disqualification from the scholarship scheme.
    • Any student receiving scholarship/financial support from any other source will not be eligible.
    • Students involved in any disciplinary matter will be permanently disqualified from the scholarship scheme.

Admission Scholarship Scheme for BS (Electrical Engineering)


The scholarship scheme is offered to BS (Electrical Engineering) students with effect from Fall-2024

Scholarship Eligibility & Merit Criteria

  1. Eligibility and Merit Criteria for Semester 1st

    Upon completion of the admission process. The top five students on the merit list for the mentioned programs will be eligible for:

    • 100% tuition fee waiver if their aggregate merit is equal to or exceeds 75.
    • 50% tuition fee waiver if their aggregate merit is equal to or exceeds 65 but is less than 75.

  2. Eligibility and Merit Criteria for Semesters 2nd to 8th

    • Enrolled in the semester for which the tuition fee waiver is sought.
    • Demonstrated good conduct throughout their tenure at CUI Wah.
    • Scholarships for semesters 2 to 8 will be granted based on the following criteria:
      • 100%tuition fee waiver for the top five position holders in the program, contingent on achieving a CGPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher in the previous semester.
      • 50%tuition fee waiver for students achieving a CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in the preceding semester.

  3. Duration & Conditions

    • The merit-based tuition fee waiver will be applicable for the eight semesters.
    • Students availing this waiver should not concurrently receive any other form of financial support or scholarship.
    • The extent of the tuition fee waiver, whether full or partial, will be contingent on meeting specified academic achievement.
    • Students are obligated to submit semester-wise academic progress reports to the departmental undergraduate office for due processing.

Admission Scholarship Scheme for BS (Accounting & Finance) and BS (Business Administration)


The scholarship scheme is offered to BS (Accounting & Finance) and BS (Business Administration) students with effect from Fall-2024

First Semester:

  • One time waiver of 100% tuition fee for students having obtained ≥85% marks in Intermediate examination or its equivalent at the time of admission.
  • One time waiver of 75% tuition fee for students having obtained marks ≥75% and les than 85% in Intermediate examination or its equivalent at the time of admission.

Subsequent Semester:

  • Any student receiving any scholarship/financial support from any other source/organization will not be eligible for this scholarship.
  • If a student on scholarship fails any course he/she will become ineligible to apply afresh or for continuance of the scholarship scheme.

  • In case of “Leave of Absence” of a semester student will not be considered for scholarship in the next semesters and will be permanently disqualified for the subject scholarship.
  • Any student receiving any scholarship/financial support from any other source/organization will not be eligible for scholarship.
  • For any student who failed to secure scholarship in first semester, if he/she performs with SGPA 3.51 and above in any subsequent semester will qualify for scholarship equal to 50% of tuition fee.
  • A student must have registered at least 9 credit hours in first two semesters in order to be considered for scholarship in the next semester.
  • The students availing scholarship will render academic assistance to the department as notified by the department.
  • The Student will be liable to complete the degree within two years. In case of delay/discontinue, he/she will return the whole amount of scholarship to university.

Admission Scholarship Scheme for All MS Programs Intake Spring 2024


First Semester:

Admission Topping Merit List Scholarship (Undergraduate Program)

Merit scholarship is for students topping admission merit list w.e.f. Spring 2020 Semester. Terms and conditions of awarding Merit Scholarship are as under:

  • Merit Scholarship shall be awarded to only one candidate topping the admission merit list of each academic program at each campus;
  • Merit Scholarship shall be available for the entire duration of the degree program i.e. 04 years (08 semesters) or 05 years (10 semesters). Additional semester will not be covered;
  • Merit Scholarship shall cover waiver of full tuition fee in a semester;
  • Minimum CGPA to maintain the scholarship will be 2.5. In case the CGPA drop below 2.5, the scholarship will not be transferred to anyone else and will be resumed to the said scholar if and when he/she attains CGPA 2.5 or above;
  • Merit Scholarship shall not be transferrable to any student in line;
  • Merit Scholarship will be suspended/cancelled in following cases:
    • Awardee fails to join CUI;
    • Change of Program;
    • Re-admission at CUI;
    • Withdraw or drop of course in any semester;
    • Freeze of semester due to any reason.

High Achievers Scholarship for the Top Ten (10) Board Position Holders


High Achievers Scholarship for the Top Ten (10) Position Holders of Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education across Pakistan for all Undergraduate Degree Programs offered at COMSATS University Islamabad, w.e.f. Fall semester 2024. The terms and conditions of the subject Scholarship are as under:

  • The scholarship will only be granted to the top ten (10) position holders from the last two years of respective Boards nationwide;
  • Eligible students will have to provide the position holder certificate issued by the concerned board;
  • Students of O/A level with straight A* in both O and A level are also eligible;
  • Scholarship will only be valid for the normal duration of the degree i.e. 04 years or 05 years Undergraduate Degree Programs;
  • The student must take regular course load during the semesters. Additional semester will not be covered under this scholarship;
  • Scholarship shall cover waiver of full tuition fee only in a semester;
  • Minimum CGPA to retain the scholarship will be 3.5, If the student fails to maintain the required CGPA in the previous semester, the said scholarship will be suspended for the current semester and will be resumed on attaining the required CGPA of 3.5 or above;
  • Scholarship shall not be transferable to any student in line;
  • The Scholarship awardee will be eligible for one scholarship at a time.
  • Scholarship will be cancelled in case of re-admission of the student at CUI

Fee Waiver to the Students with Disabilities


Fee waiver to all Students with disabilities across CUI will be granted as per provisions of the ICT Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act-(2020)” mentioned in the Higher Education Commission (HEC)’s letter No. HEC/RAA/DIS/2024/1 dated 13 june,2024.
